    These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DogPoisonCheck (the "Service"), an educational information lookup tool operated by DogPoisonCheck ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    1. Educational use only — no veterinarian-client-patient relationship

    The Service provides general educational information about common substances that may affect dogs, drawn from publicly available toxicology resources. The Service is not veterinary advice, not a diagnostic service, and not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Use of the Service does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship ("VCPR"). DogPoisonCheck is not a licensed veterinary practice.

    2. Eligibility

    You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Service.

    3. Assumption of risk

    You acknowledge and agree that you assume all risk arising from your use of the Service and that you will not rely on the Service in lieu of professional veterinary care. In any emergency, contact your nearest veterinarian or emergency animal hospital.

    4. As-is, no warranties

    The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information provided will be accurate or current.

    5. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, DogPoisonCheck and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including without limitation harm, injury, illness, or death of any animal — arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

    6. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DogPoisonCheck and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

    7. Refunds

    We offer a refund window for paid features as described at the point of purchase. Refunds are administrative and do not constitute any acknowledgment of the efficacy or accuracy of the Service. To request a refund, email support@dogpoisoncheck.com.

    8. Subscriptions and cancellation

    Annual subscriptions, if offered, auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via the customer portal; cancellation stops future renewals and does not refund the current term except as described in Section 7. We comply with the FTC "Click-to-Cancel" rule and applicable state auto-renewal laws.

    9. Binding arbitration; class action waiver

    Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in any class, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may award only individual relief.

    10. Governing law and venue

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [GOVERNING_STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [VENUE_CITY], [GOVERNING_STATE].
